Key points
- Candidates can submit a fresh JEE Main 2027 Session 1 form even if they already have an Application Number or have paid the fee.
- Only the last form with a successful fee payment and a generated Confirmation Page will count as valid.
- The fee paid for an earlier form will not be refunded or adjusted against the fresh form.
- Fresh forms must be completed by 22 November 2026 up to 11:50 PM, or with late fee from 23 to 26 November 2026 up to 11:50 PM.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will allow candidates to submit a fresh Online Application Form for JEE (Main) 2027 Session 1, even if they have already generated an Application Number or paid the examination fee. NTA said this in a public notice dated 30 October 2026. The notice follows its public notice dated 24 October 2026. NTA said it had received representations from candidates about errors they made while filling the form.
What the notice says
- Which form counts: Only the last form for which the fee has been paid successfully and the Confirmation Page generated will be valid. If a candidate starts a fresh form but does not pay the fee and generate the Confirmation Page, the earlier completed form stays valid.
- New Application Number: Each fresh form gets a new Application Number. All details, including photograph, signature and documents, must be entered and uploaded again.
- Fee: The fee paid for an earlier form will not be refunded. It will also not be adjusted against the fresh form.
- One attempt per session: Submitting more than one form does not allow a candidate to appear more than once in the same session. A candidate who appears, or tries to appear, using more than one Application Number will be treated as using Unfair Means (UFM). Action will then be taken as per the Information Bulletin. Only holding more than one Application Number, without appearing with them, will not be treated as UFM.
Important dates
| Activity | Date |
|---|---|
| Last date for fresh form, including fee payment | 22 November 2026, up to 11:50 PM |
| Fresh form with late fee | 23 November 2026 to 26 November 2026, up to 11:50 PM |
| Correction facility | 27 November 2026 to 29 November 2026 |
The notice does not state the late fee amount.
What candidates should do now
