In a notice under "Latest News" on its PG Medical Counselling page, MCC said the National Medical Commission (NMC) sent the seat matrix of newly approved seats for Round 2 on 3 November 2026.
What the notice says
- The seat matrix for newly approved seats for Round 2 of NEET PG counselling 2026 was received from NMC on 3 November 2026.
- The institutes concerned will verify the seat matrix, after applying the reservation roster, until 6 November 2026. The reservation roster decides which category each seat goes to.

What candidates should do now
- Wait for MCC's revised Round 2 schedule before planning registration and payment. Check the PG Medical Counselling page on mcc.nic.in.
- The newly approved seats will appear only in the Round 2 seat matrix. When it is out, check whether the colleges you want have added seats before you lock your choices.
- Round 1 closing ranks are the best guide until then. A later closing rank means the seat was easier to get.
